Shepherd's Hut instructions
Information and instructions for the use of the shepherd's huts and hot tubs
Pets
Well behaved dogs are allowed. Please could you let us know if you intend on bringing a pet so that we may provide our complementary pet care basket which includes:
Treats
Towel
Dog waste bags
Ball
Please leave the towel in the hut upon departure.. everything else is yours to keep.
There is an outside tap and hose to ensure your pet does not bring mud into the hut.
Please do not allow your dog to swim in the lake.
Hot Tub
Your hot tub will take around 2 hours to heat.
Please leave around half a meter at the top of the tub so that you can add more cold should it be too hot.
Please make sure the Hot Tub has been filled to at least one inch past the top inlet before lighting. Failure to do this will result in damaged hoses making the hot tub unusable. Further details are in your welcome booklet.
The Tub is insulated and if you replace the lid when you get out, will stay warm for a very long time.
We will light the hot tub prior to your arrival. Extra logs, paper, kindling and matches can be found in the wooden cupboard at the back of the hut.
There are 2 large towels, dressing gowns & fleece blankets in the wardrobe.

Gates
Cowslip Meadows is a fully working farm and we breed quite rare Longhorn Cattle.
They are quite a gentle and beautiful breed but have a tendency to wander should the gates be left open.
Please can you make sure that all gates are closed behind you.

Oven
Each hut is fitted with a gas powered oven, grille and hob.

Directions
As you drive up the hill into Laughton from Mowsley/A5199 (The most likely direction you'll come from) you will see the street sign saying Laughton on the left, start indicating right and you'll see our wooden "Acorn" shaped gate set back from the road.

Recycling
We care deeply for the environment we both work and live in hence we take great care to recycle and reuse where possible.
Even the water in the hot tubs is recycled and reused to water the beautiful gardens surrounding your Shepherd's Hut.
Could you please make use of the bins provided and recycle wherever possible.
